October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This workshop will address these specific losses but will also connect to broader themes of grief and reflection as we approach the holiday season.

Goal: To provide participants with practical tools and empathetic insights to navigate grief—either personally or in support of others—helping them build emotional resilience and foster compassionate connections.

Tentative Outline

1. Understanding Loss and Grief

  • Types of loss (e.g., pregnancy loss, sudden death, anticipated loss).

  • Emotional and physical manifestations of grief.

  • Myths vs. realities about the grieving process.

2. Supporting Loved Ones

  • How to approach and communicate with someone grieving.

  • Actions that help (and harm) during grief.

  • Recognizing when professional help might be needed.
